Team Cloister
What made Cloister successful? Far more than the quality of the service, the cleanliness and appearance of the facilities, and the award winning innovations, it was the employees. Cloister truly believed that employees were its most important asset. Summer after summer, college and high school students would return to work at the four locations. Employees took pride in their appearance and looked for ways to make a visit to Cloister a memorable experience. They were knowledgeable about the operation, friendly, and helpful to every customer. Turnover was low by industry standards, and many employees worked for Cloister a decade or more.
This open letter to employees from the Mountz family sums up the high impact they had on the success of Cloister.
Thanks for the memories. It was a wonderful 28-year journey. The journey would not have been as successful and as much fun without God, great employees, and our collective belief in what Cloister could be. Thanks to my loving wife Rhoda and our children Elton, Tonya and Weston for their sacrifice, patience, and understanding. A special thanks to Del Burkholder for 28 years of loyalty, hard work, and dedication.
Thank you to the many employees with extended service. And finally, thank you to every employee who worked at Cloister over the years. Your commitment to the Team Cloister vision made all the difference.

And finally, I must acknowledge the guiding light and wisdom of my God, who has made everything possible. God gave me this simple prayer years ago, a prayer I say many times, each and every day.
